Para empezar, decir que todavía no entiendo muy bien de dónde sale el título. Representa que un científico alemán, que fabricaba bombas nucleares gracias al trabajo forzado de más de 30,000 judíos, todos ellos muertos de hambre, es bueno. Por qué? Es una película muy entretenida. Consistente en diálogos intensos, juegos de miradas, y una teatralidad muy propia del cine clásico, que le da muchos puntos. El guión tiene puntos flacos, pero pienso que igual es porqué se introducen muchos detalles y en algún momento la espectadura pierde la orientación. La caracterización es muy buena, y el Berlín de la postguerra que se representa, si bien claramante de cartón piedra, espectacular.
Hay sangre, muchos secretos, rusos malos y americanos que buscan hacer justicia, pero que son también un poco necios. Tensión sexual sin resolver y sensualidad sin una sola escena erótica. Un George Clooney que se sale más por su actuación que per su atractivo físico (de hecho, no sale particularmente guapo en esta cinta), un Tobey Maguire que destaca por su breve pero excelente contribución a la trama, y una Cate Blanchett espectacular: bellísima, misteriosa, y grande en su actuación (ni empezar a compararla con la que realiza en Babel).
En resumen, Soderbergh ha hecho un film que va a ganar pocos premios, pero que nos entretiene, y que de seguro satisface a los amantes de la historia contemporánea, así como a los amantes de las historias de amor en tiempos difíciles. El dinero para la entrada de cine será bien empleado.
